Joint Class Days | DMV Area Internships
2018-2019
UMD Dietetic Interns attended a variety of joint class days with Dietetic Interns from the surrounding DMV Area, including NIH, Johns Hopkins, Virginia Tech, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and University of Maryland Medical Center. Below is a collection of class days that have been comprised of topics including organ transplantation in children, to bariatric surgery, eating disorders and critical care in a variety of ages and populations.

UMD Dietetic Interns had the ability to attend FNCE this year in Washington DC. Interns attended the four day conference, comprised of a variety of lectures, workshops, networking events and We painted pumpkins, played yard games and served Fall snacks, including fresh popcorn.

UMD Dietetic Interns got to spend the night volunteering at the Terp Farm Fall Harvest Festival at University of Maryland College Park. We painted pumpkins, played yard games and served Fall snacks, including fresh popcorn.
Global Digital Health Forum | FHI 360

UMD Dietetic Interns had the ability to attend FHI 360's Global Digital Health Forum, an event where individuals involved in the design, implementation and evaluation of digital health initiatives network and share information.

UMD Dietetic Interns had the ability to attend the dietetic practice group, Maryland Dietetics in Healthcare Communities Fall and Spring conferences. Interns attended lectures, networked and presented abstract posters for conference attendees.
